If you live in Wisconsin and you’re looking for the perfect little German Shepherd puppy, you’ll want to know which are the best German Shepherd breeders in Wisconsin.
These are the Best German Shepherd Breeders in Wisconsin:
Roche’s German Shepherds
Jeff and Rhonda Roche took the first step to breed their line of German Shepherds back in 2007. However, they first wanted to study Germany’s top bloodlines. By 2009 the Roches were ready and set up Roche’s German Shepherds.
Roche’s German Shepherds’ ideal goal is to produce top-caliber, superior temperament, looks, and working German Shepherds.

Among Roche’s bloodlines, three have been rated VA 1 by the World German Sieger Show in Germany, the highest honor for any German Shepherd bloodline.
So, if you are fortunate enough to adopt a Roche’s GSD puppy, you are assured of the puppy’s sound health, temperament, character, nerves, and becoming a fantastic family companion.
As you would expect, choosing the highest-quality puppies will cost a little bit more. Roche’s puppies will cost between $2,400 to $2,900.
However, the breeders do not fly their puppies, but you can arrange ground transportation for an additional fee if picking up the puppy in person is out of the question.
To reserve a puppy, you will need to leave a deposit of $400. The deposit is non-refundable; however, if the timing turns out to be difficult, you can move the deposit to another litter in the future.
Occasionally there are German import puppies available. The pups are priced separately, and you will need to call for a price and availability. Needless to say, these puppies will be more expensive.
Roche’s German Shepherds are highly sought-after dogs for families, companionship, working dogs, and many search and rescue organizations.

Vom Geliebten Haus
Vom Geliebten Haus German Shepherd breeders are located on 60 acres of farmland just North of Menomonie, Wisconsin, an hour from the Twin Cities.
All dogs and puppies live in the family home with the whole family and children. All puppies are extensively socialized, meeting many visitors, family, and friends.
Vom Geliebten Haus is a small family breeder, and they focus purely on the West German Line of German Shepherds. The breeding stock dogs are owned by and live with the family.
If you wish to meet the breeding stock dogs, just give the breeders, Serge and Veronika, a call, and they will gladly schedule a visit.

The family owns all dogs; there’s no co-ownership or outside help. All decisions are made by the family that maintains the integrity of the breeding program.
Serge and Veronika never overproduce puppies; quality, not quantity, is what matters, and that’s why you will have to join a waiting list if you choose to buy a puppy from these breeders.
All puppies are born in the main house in a specifically prepared whelping room. The puppies will spend the first four weeks inside the whelping room; however, they are handled every day, weighed, and begin a series of early neurological exercises that helps stimulate the nervous system.
De-worming is conducted from two weeks of age and every week until they leave for their forever home. From four weeks, puppies move into the main area where they are in constant contact with the family, children, and visitors. Potty training also starts at the same time.
When puppies reach eight weeks, they visit the vet, and are examined, microchipped, and vaccinated.
Serge and Veronika offer a ground delivery service ($2 per mile) up to 300 miles from Menomonie. They highly recommend an air cargo service if the distance is further than 300 miles.

Brimka Haus
Brimka Haus German Shepherds is situated just south of Madison Wisconsin and the family bred their first German Shepherd puppies in 1994.
The sire and dam of the breeder’s puppies are certified free of hip and elbow dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or by the German SVa-stamp program. Brimka Haus is 100% against breeding any dog, no matter the breed, without this certification.
However, the breeders do stipulate that its possible puppies can still develop hip and elbow conditions later in life, and they prefer to make any potential puppy buyer aware of this fact.

There are certain things these breeders believe in that some puppy buyers might not. So we thought we would talk about them here because you might disagree, which will impact your decision to purchase from Brimka Haus. We happen to endorse their belief which is why we recommend them.
First, Brimka Haus does not re-vaccinate puppies after puppy shots are given. These breeders titer instead. If the titer shows the puppy is not immune, then they will re-vaccinate. Vaccination after immunity is unnecessary and can even be harmful to the dog or puppy.
Another area the breeder has very strong views about is spaying and neutering. They do not agree with either practice. They cite a research article by Stanley Coren, Ph.D., F.R.S.C. regarding the method. This article points to evidence that spaying and neutering increases a dog’s aggression, fearfulness, and touch sensitivity.
Finally, Brimka does not recommend feeding dogs kibble and endorses a raw food diet for their puppies and dogs.
All puppies from Brimka Haus are AKC registered with pedigrees. Puppies are de-wormed at four and six weeks, and at 9 to 10 weeks, their vet will apply a stool flotation test during the puppies’ health check. At this stage, puppies receive a medical examination by a licensed DVM.
Vaccinations are given between 8 to 14 weeks, and the actual timing is based on a nomograph of the mother dog. This nomograph provides the optimal time to vaccinate puppies.
